Greece suffers severe floods

In the northern town of Komotini near the Greek-Turkish border residents evacuated their homes as waves of water covered streets and houses. Animals were trapped in their pens on immersed farms and local authorities said agricultural land was under water in many areas as a river in the area overflowed its banks.
