Maharashtrans welcome the return of their toy train east of Mumbai. Matheran, a hill-station about 80 kilometres east of state capital Mumbai, is a popular weekend getaway. It is connected to Neral, which lies at the base of the hills, through the toy train. The railway is trying to get the train on UNESCO's world heritage list.
