Chavez rallies supporters

Speaking at a rally to over 100,000, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened the U.S. and Spain. He also criticised Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. Uribe removed Chavez as mediator for the release of hostages held by leftist guerillas after saying Chavez broke with protocol by speaking to the head of Colombia's army without permission.
