iPhone court victory for T-Mobile
December 04, 2007
Rival Vodafone had obtained a temporary court injunction preventing T-Mobile from locking the iPhone's SIM card, which means the phone can't be used on other networks. T-Mobile has an exclusive deal to sell Apple's iPhone in Germany. Consumer groups have previously expressed concerns about allowing the iPhone to be used on only one network in each country where it's sold because of worries it might reduce competition.
