Betancourt family urges release of Colombian hostages

Colombia is seeking a direct role for French President Nicolas Sarkozy in its next round of talks with Marxist rebels holding dozens of hostages, a development welcomed by the family of French-Colombian hostage Ingrid Betancourt.
