48 days for 24 star

The star of the TV drama "24" was arrested on 25th September in Hollywood. Police stopped his car shortly after 1 a.m. after he made an illegal U-turn. He pleaded no contest, the equivalent of a guilty plea in October and was ordered to serve 30 days in jail for drink driving offences. Sutherland was already on probation for a 2004 case so he was also ordered to serve 18 days for violating his probation. The judge gave Sutherland until March 30th to complete his jail term but he turned himself in early to start it immediately.
