Car-free carbon delegates

Representatives from nearly 190 countries have converged on Indonesia's resort island of Bali to hammer out a new deal to replace the Kyoto Protocol, a pact to curb global warming, that expires in 2012. Organisers estimate 47,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide will be emitted during the Dec 3-14 event.
