The move appears to address the long-term speculation of who will eventually take over the media and communications conglomerate from the 76-year-old media mogul. News Corp's announcement on Friday is part of a wider shake up of the media empire which spans newspapers, film studios, satellite television services and Internet properties such as MySpace.
