Sentencing crack

The US Supreme Court will allow the use of lighter sentences in crack coacine cases. The high court, by a 7-2 vote, overturned a U.S. appeals court ruling that judges can not hand down a lighter punishment simply because they disagree with wide disparities for crack and powder cocaine sentences.
