UN staff killed in Algiers blasts
December 11, 2007
The attacks are being blamed on Al Qaeda's North Africa wing and were the deadliest to strike the Algerian capital since the 1990s civil war. The blasts happened within minutes of one another. The first struck near the Constitutional Building and the other hit offices belonging to the United Nations, killing one employee of the U.N. refugee agency. 13 UN staff are reported to be missing.
