Sarkozy aims for presidency

Sarkozy has told French regional newspapers that he is to seek the nomination of his ruling centre-right party to run in next year's election. The son of a Hungarian nobleman and a Greek Jewish mother is hoping to become the first son of an immigrant to become president of modern France.
