EU battles car makers over CO2

In 2012, the EU intends to introduce fines for makers of fleets that produce more than an average of 120 grams of CO2 per kilometre. These fines would then rise over the following four years.But the proposals have come in for criticism from European car makers, especially German producers like BMW and Mercedes who make premium cars which are heavier and produce more emissions.Joanna Partridge reports for Reuters
