New technology for tighter security

As the EU's passport-free Schengen zone is expanded on December 21st to include nine new countries including Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Latvia and Lithuania, security measures on European external boundaries are being tightened. The EU has invested in new technology including an updated border camera system and night-vision goggles.Joanna Partridge reports
