Bush dissatisfied with Iraq progress

The President said he was pleased that Congress -- passed a $70 billion defense supplemental-- that will continue to fund U.S. war operations in Iraq and Afghanistan through June of next year. With a 7-stop trip to the Middle East-- aimed at bolstering fragile peace efforts-- planned to take place at the beginning of the new year, President Bush ruled out reaching out to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
