France's presidential candidates
March 19, 2007
France's Constitutional Council has said that 12 candidates have qualified to run in next month's presidential election after gathering a minimum of 500 endorsements from elected officials. The 12 include right-wing favourite Nicolas Sarkozy, Socialist Ségolène Royal and centrist François Bayrou, as well as anti-globalisation crusader José Bové, who was uncertain of qualifying for the first round on April 22. A voiced overview of the runners.
