January 08, 2008
The soldiers, who are believed to be Irish, were driving in an area some 35 kms (22 miles) south of Beirut when a roadside bomb hit their four-wheel vehicle. The attack took place not far from the the sprawling Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp. The region is on high alert ahead of a visit by US President George Bush that begins on Wednesday in neighbouring Israel.
