Baader-Meinhoff militant freed
March 25, 2007
The 57-year-old's release from prison sparked a furious debate in Germany over whether Brigitte Mohnhaupt, once described as the most dangerous woman in West Germany should ever be released. Mohnhaupt was one of the "second generation" leaders of the Red Army Faction, otherwise known as the Baader-Meinhoff Gang, a communist urban guerrilla group that carried out a wave of political killings in the 1970s.
