Sumptuous haute couture show for Dior

Christian Dior opened the haute couture fashion season in Paris on Monday with an array of sumptuous gowns in gloriously bright colours. Models sashayed around a bubbling water centre-piece, dressed in silk garments, richly embroidered with gold and crystals. Dior designer John Galliano played with the feminine shape contrasting voluminous cardigans over figure-hugging skirts and dresses. Images of the show.
