Four British troops killed in Basra
April 05, 2007
Gunmen have killed nearly 20 Iraqi, British and American soldiers in the past 24 hours, underscoring how deadly the country remains four years after the U.S.-led invasion. The attacks took place in Baghdad, near the northern city of Mosul and in Basra - main base of the British. These latest deaths bring to six the number of British soldiers killed in Iraq this week. One-hundred-and-forty have died in the four years since the coalition invasion.
