China is updating and adopting new "life tables" (actuarial tables) for life insurance companies. The companies base their rates and other product variables on the statistical forcast data in these tables. The data has changed considerably since the old tables were based on 1990s census records. | A U.S. trade delegation of 218 members, led by Minnesota Governor Pawlenty, visited Shanghai in Nov. 05.
