China's giant pandas have been on endangered species lists for nearly 30 years. Only 1,596 Pandas are thought to be living in the wild, while fewer than 300 are in zoos around the world. The iconic creature has been chosen as one of the 2008 Olympic mascots, a move conservationists hope will draw attention to the threats the animals face. An AFPTV report.
