Now the Scottish film director is uncovering a new frontier with his new scientific thriller Sunshine. It follows the story that the sun is torn and it's up to ever helpful humans to patch it up. Sunshine opened number four in the UK box office charts over the weekend and took in 1.29 million British pounds, approximately 2.6 million U.S. dollars.
