Al Qaeda behind deadly bombs

Bombs have killed at least 30 people in Algeria's capital and al Qaeda claims it was behind the attacks. One of the blasts - believed to be a suicide bombing - ripped part of the facade off the Prime Minster's headquarters. A second hit Bab Ezzouar in eastern Algiers. Algeria's Prime Minister called the attacks "criminal and cowardly".
