Poland struggles with abortion debate

Poland's parliament is currently debating the highly contentious issue of abortion. It's a political hot potato in this staunchly Roman Catholic country. Liberal abortion laws were widespread in the communist bloc, but Poland introduced one of the toughest abortion rules in Europe in 1993, four years after the collapse of the former regime.
