Polar bears are zoo moneyspinner

Nuremberg Zoo is the latest to launch a range of products featuring its most famous furry inhabitant. Fan merchandise is proving to be quite a moneyspinner for zoos, as are the increased ticket sales. Knut, Berlin Zoo's celebrity polar bear, helped bring in 5 million euros to his home zoo in 2007.
