China says terror plot foiled

45 suspects have been detained, and explosives and firearms were seized according to a senior police spokesman. The groups detained are from East Turkestan in China's predominantly Muslim north-western region of Xinjiang, where Uighur militants want to establish an independent state.Joanna Partridge reportsJoanna Partridge reports
