Growing Daylilies

For super color this time of year, you can't beat the daylily. Over the past decade, many new varieties of daylily have become available. The best part about these new varieties is that they bloom more than once each season -- sometimes three times, if conditions are right. After the flowers have died, cut the flower stalk as close to the base as you can; this encourages the plant to bloom again. Also, if you have the time, it's a good idea to break the flowers...
