Portugal's Joao Neto was ruled the European Judo 81kg Champion after his opponent, Guillaume Elmont of France was fouled for not attacking enough. The match was called in overtime as Neto attacked for the fifth time in a row, in front of the cheering home crowd of Lisbon.
