Putin says no EU sanctions right

Russia has praised the European Union for taking a "responsible approach" to its conflict with Georgia The EU has declined to impose sanctions on Russia, but has suspended talks until its troops are withdrawn from Georgian territory. Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin says the EU has failed to appreciate Moscow's reason for intervening in South Ossetia.
