European astronomers in Chile announced that they have discovered an Earth-like planet orbiting a single star just outside of... This new planet is orbiting a red dwarf star, among the 100 closest stars to Earth, just 20.5 light-years away . A light-year is about 6 trillion miles (10 trillion km).
