House votes for Iraq funding

By a mostly partisan vote of 218-208, the House approved the legislation. The Senate is expected to vote on Thursday. With Congress debating how to fund the war in Iraq, on the ground U.S. commanders say the latest security crackdown has returned mixed results: Sectarian murders are on the decline... but high-casualty car bomb attacks continue to rise.
