Azerbaijani journalist wins Amnesty human rights award

Amnesty International will give on Tuesday its annual global award for human rights journalism. Agil Khalil is from Azerbaijan and is one of the two journalists to be recognised. He has suffered a campaign of intimidation by the authorities after he tried to expose corruption which seems to go right to the highest levels of the Ministry for National Security. Afraid for his life, he has been beaten up, stabbed and is now forced to live under round-the-clock protection.
