Leader of al Qaeda in Iraq killed

Iraq's Interior Minister said that Abu Ayyub al-Masri has been killed in an "internal battle." Iraq's Interior Ministry announced the death of the al Qaeda leader in Iraq. A spokesman said Abu Ayyub al-Masri was killed during an "internal battle" between militants, and that Iraqi and US forces were not involved. The US military said it could not confirm reports of al-Masri's death, who is also known as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir.
