Jobless rate hits 4-year high

The U.S. unemployment rate jumped to 5.7 percent and payrolls were cut for the seventh consecutive month, which added to economic uncertainties. Factory activity was nearly unchanged in July - data. GM lost $15-1/2 billion in the second quarter - its third biggest loss ever. Conway Gittens reports from New York.
