Ellen DeGeneres' 40 million dollar private Beverly Hills compound

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA - February 2008. Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia Di Rossi live in this nearly 40 million dollar celebrity compound in the hills. The lesbian couple recently scooped up the newly built mansion for a mere 29 million dollars then went on to purchase the adjacent house for about 8.5 million dollars about a month later. The larger house has 4 bedrooms and 7 baths in about 6,000 square feet while the smaller home which would most likely serve as a guest house has 5 bedrooms and 4 baths in about 4,600 square feet. Ellen will typically buy a property then attempt to buy several adjacent properties as they become available. Unconfirmed gossip is that the talk show host and her lover are planning to gate the street below to further fortify their compound in addition to their around-the-clock staff of armed security guards.
