Birdmen take flight at UK resort

Hughes won the competition with a flight of 84.4 metres. He was closely followed by Ron Freeman with 83.8 metres and Steve Elkins with 46 metres. The weather was fine and sunny, perfect for spectators on the beach of Bognor Regis, a seaside resort on England's south coast where the competition took place. However there was little wind which made the task more difficult for the serious contenders.
