BLAIR BIDS ADIEU TO CHIRAC
May 11, 2007
British Prime Minister Tony Blair bid farewell to outgoing French President Jacques Chirac on Friday ahead of talks with his newly-elected successor, Nicolas Sarkozy. Blair, who on Thursday announced his own imminent retirement from politics, paid what aides described as a "courtesy call" to say goodbye to his sparring partner of the last 10 years.
