Sudan rejects UN

The President brushed off growing pressure from western leaders, some African leaders and humanitarian groups and also a passionate plea from Hollywood star George Clooney to reject the offer of up to 24000 UN troops in Darfur. The troubled western region of Sudan suffered its bloodiest month in July since the conflict began.
