Violence blights Philippines vote

Election-related violence has marred Monday's poll, with the body count now over a hundred. Votes will be tallied at municipal, provincial and national levels over the next few weeks. Millions of votes are being counted by hand. In some parts of Manila, and on the southern island of Mindanao, power failures meant initial counting had to be done by candlelight.
