Crossing the divide

North and South Korea are to send trains across their heavily-armed border for the first time since in 56 years. The opening of the railway is being seen as a milestone in reconciliation. But it also comes at a time when the South Korean government has been criticised at home for sending massive aid to its impoverished neighbour only to see it rebuffed by Pyongyang.
