He and a friend give up on trying the front door and head into the garage, ducking under the garage door as it opens. Ryan O'Neal and son Redmond O'Neal were reportedly arrested yesterday for drug possession. The 67-year-old "Love Story" star and his 23-year-old son with Farrah Fawcett were arrested when police doing a routine probation search of O'Neal's Malibu home found Redmond in possession of crystal meth and another vial in Ryan's bedroom. According to police records, the father and son were held at the Malibu/Lost Hills police station and were later released on $10,000 bond. Other reports indicate Redmond was arrested last year on charges of carrying crystal meth and heroin while driving under the influence and pleaded not guilty to the charges but was fined and placed on three years probation as part of a deal to avoid prison time. The O'Neal family has a long history of drug problems. Tatum O'Neal, Ryan's daughter, was arrested in New york in July for possessing a bag of crack coacaine and another containing ordinary cocaine.
