Taliban bombs target police

A series of roadside explosions has killed at least eight police officers in Afghanistan. In the worst attack, four officers died when a roadside bomb which destroyed their vehicle in the southern city of Kandahar. When another group of police officers arrived to remove the bodies, a second blast went off nearby. At least three more officers were killed and a cameraman for the Arabic Al Jazeera television network was among the wounded.
