Madonna baby arrives in UK

13-month old David Banda arrived at London's Heathrow airport accompanied by one of Madonna's personal assistants and a bodyguard. The Malawian baby at the centre of an adoption row was whisked away to the pop star's luxury London home. The 48-year-old American-born singer was granted a temporary adoption order of David, prompting rights groups to accuse the star of using her celebrity status to bypass normal adoption rules. Lawyers for a group of Malawian charities has been preparing to go to court to seek an injuction to halt the adoption process.
