Bernanke's economic outlook

Testifying on the economy to the congressional Joint Economic Committee, U.S. Federal Reserve Chainman Ben Bernanke urged Congress to "act quickly to address the grave threats to financial stability that we currently face." In his prepared remarks, the Fed Chairman said "all told, real gross domestic product is likely to expand at a pace appreciably below its potential rate in the second half of this year."
