Japanese man can't be tried in LA for murder

A Calif. judge has ruled that a Japanese man who was convicted in Japan of killing his wife in the U.S. in 1981 cannot be tried on that charge in the U.S. But, he ruled the man can be tried for conspiracy to commit murder. (Sept. 26)
