''Green'' wax Prince unveiled

May 23, 2007

A new waxwork of the Prince of Wales reflects his drive to combat climate change. Sculptors at London's Madame Tussauds waxwork museum used organic ingredients, recycling techniques and carbon off-setting to make a new model of Prince Charles. The figure was handmade by daylight to cut down on electricity. All design plans, sketches and sculpting materials were recycled to avoid waste and motor travel was kept to an absolute minimum.
