Chinook crashes killing 7 soldiers

Seven NATO soldiers have died after a Chinook helicopter was apparently shot down in Helmand. Troops responding to the scene of the crash were ambushed by enemy fighters and called for an air strike to eliminate the threat. NATO hasn't confirmed whether the big, twin-rotor military helicopter was directly involved in a battle with Taliban guerrillas. Five Americans, a Briton and a Canadian were killed.
