Europe's mammals under threat

The World Conservation Union (IUCN) has recently issued a report commissioned by the European Union making the first assessment of all mammals.In it the Balkans, particularly Bulgaria and Romania, are the most affected by declining land mammals. Loss of habitat and deforestation is largely to blame.
