World leaders focus on Afghanistan

More help pledged for Afghanistan at international conference. Afghanistan's foreign minister appealed to the international community on Tuesday (March 31) for a strategy and policy which can contribute to re-building his country addressing leaders from more than 80 countries gathered in The Hague. United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Taliban members in Afghanistan who abandoned extremism must be granted an "honourable form of reconciliation" while the U.S. made further moves to thaw its relationship with Iran who were represented at the conference.
