Germany ponders tax cuts

German Chancellor Angela Merkel plans to include tax relief in a second stimulus plan designed to help Germany's economy weather its worst recession since World War Two. While Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU) and their partners in the ruling coalition, the Social Democrats (SPD), have agreed to spend billions of euros in federal funds on infrastructure projects to save jobs, but disagree on others details, including tax relief.
